Goodbye Mr.Jyoti Basu

Jyoti Basu has proved that he practiced what he preached, even in death – the mark of a true leader who leads from the front.
As per his wishes there will not be any religious rites nor will his body be consigned to flames or soil. Instead it will be donated to a hospital for research. His eyes also have been donated to bring vision to some visually challenged person.
I salute Jyoti Basu. May there be many more leaders like him. Our country is in dire need.

  1. Deepak, it sounds like you held Mr.
Basu in high regard. He must have been a very special person. I applaud his donating his eyes that others might see and the use of his body to help medical science. That is exactly what I will do as well!

  3. Yes, Deepak! The nation has lost a stalwart politician, one of the tallest and very disciplined leaders that India has seen post independence, a gargantuan leader of the masses and an enviably able administrator - Comrade Jyoti Basu.

Leaders of his stature undoubtedly lead all the way, fantastically beyond all horizons.

"Lal Salaam" to Comrade Jyoti Basu! May his great soul rest in eternal peace!!!
