Death

The finality of death is stunning.
Though one may be prepared to face it, is unnerving, especially when it is the end of someone dear who has been suffering from a terminal disease and hence relieved.
Yet to accept the fact that the body no longer shall breathe and be consigned to flames is daunting.

  3. We can never come to terms with death. The biggest truth which we deny to accept...

  4. Some seem so accepting of the end of life, others protest till the very end. I am not sure how I will leave this world. I think it is harder for those left behind.

  6. My heartfelt condolences on your and your wife's loss. There is indeed a finality, a sense of disbelief and anguish that only death can elicit from mortals. The rest are subject to change.

  7. Yes, that finality is stunning and heartbreaking. What is always said about having good memories may sound trite, but I found it to be true. I think it is important to be making good memories daily, as it is a gift of sorts to our loved ones in the end.

  8. 55 words can never be enough to finish every thought you've started here, and none exist to express the connection between those who have shared the experience you're having now. Condolences...

  9. I agree. It's so frustrating that there is no undo for death, no way to go back and get a last hug.
