Lost soul

On Dusserah we celebrate the victory of good over evil in every sphere of life, symbolically. But, when we look around it seems just another reason to celebrate. Just like all festivals that have lost the true essence and are celebrated to indulge in merry making. The soul is lost but the carapace plods on.

  1. it is sad when that happens...when celebrating loses its signifigance...esp for the victory of light over darkness...

  2. Isn't that true of everything today? We not only rob the soul of something good but also commercialise it adding salt to the wound.

  4. I think your 55 is genius for pegging our world of shallow celebrations. And I love your use of carapace.
