Breach of trust

Are our elected representatives to the Parliament committing a breach of trust when they refuse to accept the Jan Lokpal Bill draft for debate?
All that is being asked is to take into account the views of the very people who have elected them! They are not there to impose their views on the electorate!

  3. They have become too brazen. And the saddest part is that there is no one to give them a rap on their knuckles or a whack on their heads. And so were stuck with the dynasty that is lording it over the hapless country.

  4. Well I won't call it a breach of trust on anything, maybe we feel it's morally wrong for them to do it. But that's the way it is in our constitution, it's the representatives who decide. And moreover I have real apprehensions on you telling that the Jan Lokpal Bill is the view of people in this country. We can't really say that, neither you or I where asked to voice our opnion on preventing corruption and there have also been many open criticism on the jan lokpal bill.
But then considering the govt draft, this one ( jan lokpal) bill seems to be stronger.

    ....Here I Am!

  5. Vijay.. I am not advocating the passing of the janlokpal draft.
All that I am saying is that the Government should debate the janlokpal draft instead of their own and then add/delete whatever they deem fit after a rigorous debate.
