Book review - The stolen hope

Stolen Hope (Ramayana: The Game of Life, #3)Stolen Hope by Shubha Vilas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Ramayana retold.
In this book the why and how Sita is abducted by Ravana is revealed.
Enjoyed reading this book though in the initial few pages I almost stopped reading as the format was unusual. But then as it progressed, the fantasies woven were fascinating and the lucid writing was a pleasure to read .
All the 'in between the lines' can be read at the bottom of every page if you want an indepth analysis of the tale being narrated or else, like me, just read the story as a fantasy and revel in it without bothering to look for deeper meanings.
The narrative reads like a movie or a Television serial script. Or maybe it would make a fine comic book series too like the Amar Chitra Katha series.
For me it was like watching a mythological movie without the time and space constraints.

This book was sent to me by the author to review.
